Jerry Dale Shade, 69, on November 23, 2022. He died the night before, going to bed with thoughts of this year's turkey Thanksgiving in the deep cold. He did not want to get up again. Jerry (Tsuhisata) was born on February 5 1953, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Tommy (Dinisogi) and Betsy (Quedi) Shade of Gore, Oklahoma. Cherokee was the spoken language at home, but he soon learned Latin from his older brother Emmett (Dvnai) Shade and from elementary school. The younger brothers Richard, William, Thomas, Albert and Robert looked on. Jerry took care of the family from the early years.
