Volcano Watch: Learning from the impact of Kīlauea’s 2018 LERZ lava flows : Maui Now

Lava flows from the Kīlauea Rift Zone erupted in 2018 in the lower east and devastated the lower Puna. In 2019, a group of scientists from the USGS, the Earth Observatory of Singapore, and GNS Science went to New Zealand to document and assess the impact on buildings and infrastructure to understand how lava flows are affecting the built environment.
