E. Jean Carroll, w*ho accused former President Donald Trump of raping her in the mid-1990s, a new lawsuit filed Friday to implement a law that lifts the state’s death penalty for sexual assault.
Carroll “intends to hold Donald Trump accountable not only for defaming her, but also for sexually assaulting her,” said her attorney, Roberta Kaplan.
“Thanksgiving was the first day Ms. Carroll could file under New York law, so our complaint was filed in court shortly after midnight,” he added.
Trump has vehemently denied the accusations, saying Carroll invented the story to sell his book, in which he made the first public rights claim.
In her new filing, Carroll claimed that Trump “grabbed the battery with force and touched her” and said the former president also defamed her when she denied those allegations.
Attorney Michael Madaio, who represented Trump, said in a court hearing that the new allegations are different than the original defamation suit, according to the statement. Associated Press. Madaio said the new filing would require a “completely new” collection of evidence.
Trump and Carroll are now deposed.

But the law will only take place in one year after the lottery takes effect.
Carroll claims she ran into Trump at the Bergdorf Store in New York City in 1995 or 1996, at which point the two began discussing lingerie. After going to the bathroom, Trump says he pinned her against the wall and grabbed her and she eventually fought him off and ran away. That thing lasted in the dressing room for three minutes and she says that she was afraid to come out before.
Because of the allegations, Trump said Hill that “to lie entirely.”
“I will say that with great respect: number one, it is not my kind. Number two, it never happened. It never happened, OK?” he said in 2019. “Absolutely a liar. I don’t know what about her. I know nothing about this woman. I know nothing about her. It’s – it’s just awesome who can make a statement like that.
