Another loss.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Josh Bailey tied it late in regulation and Anthony Beauvillier netted the game-winner 1:56 off the board as the New York Islanders (12-8-0) came from behind to edge the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2.

In addition, the Leafs fell to 6-1-3 in November and 10-5-5. All in all, they played well enough to win, but once again dropped in OT. John Tavares, who was playing in game No. 300 as a Leaf stack, his 11th season. Meanwhile, Auston Matthews buried his 9th, while Eric Kallgren finished with 21 in the loss. Mitch Marner extends his hitting streak to 13 games.

The Leafs have scored at least a point in 10 of their past 11 outings.

Muzzy’s Muzing:

OT Problems

Is the comedy over at this point? Of course, it didn’t help that Morgan didn’t have Rielly, they’re kind of forced to trot there with Justin Holl. Honestly, I have no idea how or why this talented team has so many problems playing 3-on-3. You think it’s better to dance on ice. Oh well — at least this format isn’t used in the playoffs.

Morgan Rielly INJURY

Here’s hoping it’s nothing serious for Rielly. That said, the 28-year-old was unable to return after a collision with Kyle Palmieri in the third period. After the game, Sheldon Keefe had an upper body issue that required further testing. Brutus For what it’s worth, Rielly is just one game away from the start of the 2021 season.

White PP*

After an ugly showing against the Demons last Thursday night, the Leafs’ game has been fired in the past. They fly around, and most importantly, they don’t waste any time there. I can’t believe how quickly they were executed; It was quite a watch.

I answer

Every line offered something different, it was great to see. As the Leafs offense came in waves, the Isles had a tough time with speed and speed. It took a while, but it really seems like Toronto is finding its own identity. I thought the last six were fantastic; They bring energy and play with purpose, which is all you can ask for if you’re Sheldon Keefe. Everything is starting to fall into place. Also, Ilya Sorokin was fantastic. At this point we have to wait for the Islanders to play sometime.

Shout out to Rasmus Sandin. The 18-year-old jumped to help Auston Matthews after a cheap shot by Oliver Wahlstrom in the third period. I know it’s hyped, but you love to see it. Rest assured, this kind of stuff is not hidden in the hall. That’s who I am about. Hail Rameses!

Highlight of the night:

After falling 3-2 in OT to Toronto last week, the Leafs took another shot at the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night, this time at the Prudential Center. The Devils have won 13 straight games since Oct. They did not lose 24. Six of the next seven will be on the road in Toronto.
